How can you overcome a complaint?The worst thing happened this afternoon - the environmental health officer made an unexpected visit to your kitchen, and found rat droppings on the floor. You found out that one of your guest's had complained about the dinner last night. You have been told to close your kitchen, and you are facing extra expense from bringing in an outside caterer to cope with the demand...this latest episode is causing you anxiety as the overdraft is going up. The problems have been reported in the local press and the tourist board are no longer recommending you.
What do you do?
When the health inspector gives the "all clear" as he must before you can open be sure to Press release it (Health Inspector Declares XYZ Hotel exceeds Health Standards!!!) to all the local papers that carried the earlier story, add it to the News section on your web site and push feed it to all the tourist boards by e-mail distribution (you did have all of their e-mails already didn't you?)
Dispelling negative publicity has always been difficult in the past, but today you have the solution in your website to enlist a good PR company to promote your website and your establishment by positive blogging - you can rewrite the news with your keywords.
