The Government introduced new legislation in November 2006 which became law in January 2007 requiring all Limited Companies in the UK  to list their company registration number, place of registration and registered office address on all electronic information, including websites, order forms and other electronic letters like emails, order forms, etc.

In the Hotel and Catering industry our response to this legislation is of particular importance, and while the individual hotel details may be listed, the head office and group headquarters may well not be, whilst we welcome the extra clarity do small businesses really need this level of government interference?

From a marketing perspective its always a good idea if potential customers are give as many ways of contacting you as possible. A simple box leading to an email as the only method irritates many – is slow in practice as there is no guarantee of immediate response, and now does not meet the current legal requirements.

If your website lacks those details and you cannot update your website yourselves, we would be happy to do it for you.
